METHOD OF TAKING OFF QUANTITIES:

 1. Long and short wall method

 2. Centre line method

Long and Short wall:

   The offsets are unsymmetrical and the building is more or less rectangular this method only is applicable.

The horizontal walls may be taken out-to-out and vertical walls in-to-in.

Centre line method:

   The total centre line length of walls in a buildings is calculated. By this method estimates may be prepared more 

quickly.
